Con la llegada del golpe del 24 de marzo de 1976, las Fuerzas Armadas nuevamente tomaron la banda presidencial para s\u00ed. Fue un momento de crisis econ\u00f3mica, pol\u00edtica, institucional y social. Su llegada era esperada por gran parte del arco pol\u00edtico, y tambi\u00e9n por la sociedad. Sin embargo, los planes de la Junta no eran los de ser una experiencia transitoria, sino que aspiraban a convertirse, a trav\u00e9s de cambios institucionales, en tutelares del Estado, ya no de hecho sino de derecho. Tras los primeros a\u00f1os y el virtual triunfo contra la subversi\u00f3n, la aquejante situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica no hallaba camino de recuperaci\u00f3n; al echarse algo de luz en las aberraciones cometidas con los detenidos\/desaparecidos, aquello que parec\u00eda firme mostr\u00f3 todas las diferencias internas que imperaban. La derrota en Malvinas convirti\u00f3 a las Fuerzas Armadas en unas fuerzas derrotadas sin pilares que sostuvieran su administraci\u00f3n, y se inici\u00f3 as\u00ed la transici\u00f3n a la democracia.
